Production Support Engineer- Textile

The Role

The Role
  • Ensure all production occurs in line with the company's strict Ethical Sourcing Policies
  • Own Mass Production follow up
  • Sound knowledge in spections for garments and home textiles and the production process of those items
  • Provide manufacturing technical support and procedures to reduce manufacturing costs, improved quality levels and production efficiencies when identified
  • Liaise with Production Support Coordinators and suppliers on capacity planning / schedules
  • Notify key stakeholders of any major or critical production and quality issues identified whilst in factories and follow up and close off outstanding CAPs with the suppliers in question Support sufficient lead times for factories where product is placed.
  • Conducts and or supports when required pre-production meetings in factory
  • Work closely with our agencies in all countries to ensure they follow the aligned way of working and hold factories to those requirements
  • Perform unannounced audits and inspections when requested

Your Profile

Your Profile
  • Diploma or degree in Quality management, Industrial engineering or Mechanical engineering
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in Quality Consultant roles and factory inspection practice is an added advantage
  • Buying office experience an advantage
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and fluent in Mandarin
  • Autonomous, proactive, detailed and commercially minded
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications Word, Excel and Lotus Notes A can do attitude with entrepreneurial spirit and project management skills are a must
  • Frequent travel is required
