Our graduates are the future of our organisation. Our two-year graduate scheme offers you the opportunity to undertake four six-month placements in different aspects of our business. You will be exposed to both project-based and operations-focused roles, and will accompany senior staff on at least one international trip.
We’re committed to the professional development of our people. As well as undertaking skills-based and behavioural training courses, you will also be assigned a buddy and a mentor for the duration of the programme. Our on-the-job approach to training ensures that you’ll find your feet fast.
At the end of the programme, you will be invited to present a summary of your experiences to our company directors, after which you will be assigned to a role within the company that best fits the skills and experience that you have gained during the scheme.
Commercial graduate scheme
Commercial graduate placements may be in Textiles, Hardgoods or Food divisions and could include any of the following teams:
- Product Development
- Quality, Production and Manufacturing Excellence
- Compliance and Sustainability
Corporate graduate scheme
Corporate graduate placements may be in any of the following aspects of the business:
- Accounting, Finance and Business Controlling
- Human Resources
- Internal Audit
- ISO and Change Management
- IT and Project management
How to apply for the graduate scheme
Applications for the graduate scheme open in January 2018 and close in March 2018, with the programme commencing in September 2018. Successful entrants will be offered competitive pay and benefits, and will be based in our offices in the ICC building or the Ever Gain Plaza in Kowloon.
The scheme is open to young people who will be graduating in 2018, or who graduated at the end of 2017 but deferred work for a year. To be considered for entry, you will need to have a 2:1 degree or higher or a GPA score of at least 3.3.
Send your CV and letter of motivation to Graduates@lidl.com.hk clearly stating which of the two areas (commercial or corporate) you wish to apply for. Shortlisted applicants will be asked to attend a half-day assessment consisting of a case study, presentation and interview.
